Collections

The Fiskars Museum preserves cultural heritage for future generations. We receive, examine and catalogue items and photographs connected to life at the Fiskars Ironworks. Researchers are welcome to come and see the museum's collections. Under research you can find helpful links and contactinformation. If you wish to donate items, photographs or archive material, we likewise ask you to contact us in advance.

The guiding line for the museum's collection work is sice 2009 the professionally kept museums' collection programme of Western Uusimaa. Since 2012 the museum is part of TAKO a national cooperation of collections and documentation.

In 2013-2015 a culturan heritage center of western Uusimaa area was founded in Tammisaari. We are previously working on moving parts of the collections to the centre. The centre is maintained by Länsi-Uudenmaan maakuntamuseo.
