Slow Food Festival

The Slow Food festival gathers local producers and food enthusiasts to Fiskars every year in October. The festival offers tasty, clean and fair food from the area. You can find us at the festival serving information about the history and food traditions of the Iron works. You might also get to meet the Narrow gauge train driver, who brings the latest news about the museum steam train project. In our Pop-Up Museum shop you can buy everything you need for baking and traditional cooking. Welcome!

Christmas at Hammarbacken opening

1 December, 11am-4pm

When snowflakes are falling and you can hear jingle bells in the village street is time to open the cozy Christmas at Hammarbacken. This year we celebrate Christmas with presenting traditions including horses. In our cozy Chistmas Coffee Shop you can taste traditional Christmas pastries. The museum shop is filled with lovely Christmas gifts for everyone.

At the Christmas Opening 1 december we present the Christmas exhibition in finnish at 11.15am, 12.15pm, 3.15pm and in swedish or english at 2.15 pm. Visitors are also welcomed to participate in activities held by the Ironworks villagers. During the opening day we serve Mulled wine (Non-alcoholic) to all visitors and have free admission!
