Lively at Hammarbacken 10th of June 2023
The summer season opens 10th of June 11am to 5pm with the Lively at Hammarbacken event. On the Museum area you can meet ironworkers’ from the 19th and 20th century and learn about life in the past. Our basic exhibition Life at Fiskars Ironworks, the latest theme exhibition End=Beginning and our summerexhibitions are worth a visit. And of course you need to join the Ironworks Villagers’ when they are making flower wreaths, baking bread in a traditional oven, playing the horse shoe game or building a miniature timber house. If you have any questions about building preservation or restauration you can turn to our experts from Västra Nylands byggnadsvårdsförening between 12am to 2 pm. In the Museum building the ironworks photographer is ready to take a portrait photo of you with his camera. In the old Retail Shop in Slaggbyggnaden we sell traditional butter-scotch and in Café Hammarbacken you can enjoy a deliscious cake or freshly baked buns. Free entrance!
