Summer 2021 at Hammarbacken

Summer 2021 at Hammarbacken

Fiskars museum is open daily from the beginning of June! This year we will not be hosting our traditional summer opening event or workshops, but there is still plenty to see and experience.

During the summer you can listen to the iron works villagers’ stories, and you can watch them doing their daily chores in the museum area. The smell of freshly baked bread and the sounds of villagers working and gossiping comes from the bakery, and in the foundry Kalle and his apprentices go about their daily chores and make tin soldiers for visitors to buy. With luck, you can also meet the widow who lives in the attic of the Slaggbyggnaden building, and who likes to entertain visitors by playing the accordion.
