Guided Tours

Fiskars museum arranges guided tours in the museum exhibitions and on the museum premises. We offer tours in the ironworks area as well. Don’t hesitate to be in touch in advance if you have any wishes concerning the content of the tour!

Guided Tour in The Museum

The clerk Laura Holmström realized her dream of collecting pictures, artefacts and memories from the district, and exhibited them in the Museum as early as in 1949.

During the guided tour, the basic exhibition and the theme exhibition are presented.

The theme and duration of the guided tour may vary slightly depending on the season and your preferences. A visit to the Locomotive Shed can be added for a small additional fee (Starting 15.6.2026). In that case please allow at least 90 minutes for the tour.

For children we can arrange a shorter tour for 30 €/group (weekdays), 45 €/group (weekends and outside of the opening hours) .

A guided tour in the Ironworks

A guided tour in the atmospheric Fiskars Ironworks area. During the tour you will learn about the history of the Ironworks, from its founding to the present day.

You will also learn about the historical buildings, and hear stories about life in the Ironworks.

Guided Tour in the Ironworks with Night Guard Kalle-Maja

Kalle-Maja worked as a night guard in Fiskars Ironworks in the beginning of the 20th century. His sharp eyes noticed every starting fire and outrage and every hour he hit the iron triangle to tell the time.

Join Kalle-Maja on his evening walk threw the ironworks to hear his exiting stories about Fiskars. The tour starts at the former fire brigade building.

Good to know before the visit!

Groups are welcomed to the museum! To make the guided tour as successful as possible, we have limited the group size to a approximately 20 people. For larger groups, we recommend that the group is divided, and the ensuing tour is conducted in smaller detachments. The guidance fee depends on the number of people in the groups.
