We have compiled a new digital guidebook where you’ll find all the latest information about the museum area, along with introductions to our exhibitions in 28 languages. Happy Walburgis!

Happy Walpurgis Night, everyone! The museum is open on Walpurgis Night, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., but closed on May 1.

Easter at Hammarbacken 3-5.4.2026

During the Easter season, the museum is open from 3–5 April, 11:00–16:00. In the museum exhibition you can admire a large Easter tree decorated for the occasion.

The museums’s doors will open first of March

After the winter break and some minor renovation work, the museum’s doors will open again on the first of March.
