The museum’s permanent exhibition Life at Fiskars Ironworks and the themed exhibition The Eternal Forest are open Wednesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM until December 31 (closed on December 6 and December 24–26). There will be no dedicated Christmas exhibition this year, but the museum will be decorated for the season, and the museum shop will offer a wide selection of historically inspired Christmas gifts. The museum will be closed in January and February and will reopen in March 2026.

At the Pojo Local History Archive in Karis (Högbergsgatan 3), a mini-exhibition titled Along the Shores of the Svartå River, focusing on nature and outdoor life, will be on display starting November 4. The exhibition can be viewed during archive opening hours: Tuesdays 3–6 PM and Wednesdays 1–4 PM. Requests for materials and donations to the archive should be made by appointment. Please note that responses to archive inquiries may be delayed.

The museum’s collection services will be closed from November 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026. During this period, we cannot accept donations of objects or photographs, nor respond to inquiries regarding the collections. We are also unable to offer guided tours or workshops for groups. However, groups are welcome to explore the exhibitions independently during regular opening hours. Our customer service staff will be available at the ticket counter.

These limitations in museum and archive operations are due to the tight financial situation of the Fiskars Local Heritage Association and staff lay off’s.

Welcome to Hammarbacken and the Archive!
