Eastern at Hammarbacken 7 of April to 9 of April 2023

During Eastern holidays the museum is open 7 of April to 9 of April 11am to 4pm. On Saturday 8 of April we arrange an Eastern Egg workshop, with inspiration from the world famous jewlery workshop Fabergé. Alma Pihl, who’s family was originally from Pohja, worked as a designer at Fabergé in the beginning of the 20th century. She got the noble task to design some of the Eastern Eggs ordered by the Russian Royal family.

Happy Walburgis!

Happy Walpurgis Night, everyone! The museum is open on Walpurgis Night, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., but closed on May 1.

Easter at Hammarbacken 3-5.4.2026

During the Easter season, the museum is open from 3–5 April, 11:00–16:00. In the museum exhibition you can admire a large Easter tree decorated for the occasion.

The museums’s doors will open first of March

After the winter break and some minor renovation work, the museum’s doors will open again on the first of March.
