Now you can get to know one of the museum’s collection highlights, the Fiskars “Pikku‑Pässi”—Finland’s oldest narrow-gauge steam locomotive. The locomotive from 1891, restored to operating condition, is on display in the Fiskars locomotive shed (Peltorivi 7A), which was built in 2025 and ceremonially opened on June 14, 2026.
The locmotive shed is open from June 15 to August 16 daily from 12:00 to 16:00 (closed June 19–21). Admission is voluntary. However, “Pikku‑Pässi” can be viewed through the shed window at any time. There are also displays in the window with information about the locomotive. We aim to present the steam locomotive in operation in the future as well. However, this summer’s running schedule is still undecided. The locomotive may only be operated by a person with a boiler operation qualification and experience with steam locomotives. We will add more information as soon as it becomes clear when we will next have a driver on site.
Welcome!
